Cosmetic Surgery

Aesthetic plastic surgery involves techniques intended for the "enhancement" of appearance and looks through surgical and medical techniques, and is specifically concerned with maintaining normal appearance, restoring it, or enhancing it beyond the average level toward some aesthetic ideal. In the past couple of years 11 million cosmetic procedures approximately, were performed in the United States alone. The number of cosmetic procedures performed in the United States has increased over 50 percent since the start of the new century. Nearly 12 million cosmetic procedures were performed in 2007 for example, with the five most common surgeries being breast augmentation, nasal surgery, liposuction, eyelid surgery and abdominoplasty. Cosmetic surgery in Latin America is indeed one of the most performed procedures on Medical Tourists in the last decade.

Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery is a medical specialty concerned with the correction or restoration of form and function. Though cosmetic or aesthetic surgery is the best-known kind of plastic surgery, most plastic surgery is not cosmetic: plastic surgery includes many types of reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns for example.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck" is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to make the abdomen more firm, it is a very popular procedure. The surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall. This type of surgery is usually sought by patients with loose tissues after pregnancy or individuals with sagging after major weight loss, but also in many cases to improve the looks.

Face Lift

A facelift, technically known as a rhytidectomy, is a type of cosmetic surgery procedure used to give a more youthful appearance. It usually involves the removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues depending on the each case and its characteristics, and the redraping of the skin on the patient's face and neck. This is definitely a popular and well known cosmetic procedure, thousands and thousands of patients travel to other countries for this specifically. According to the most recent 2008 statistics from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, facelifts were the sixth most popular aesthetic surgery performed after liposuction, breast augmentation, blepharoplasty ( which is the eyelid surgery), abdominoplasty or tummy tuck), breast reduction, and rhinoplasty.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is surgical modification of the eyelid. Excess tissue such as skin and fat are removed or repositioned, and surrounding muscles and tendons may be reinforced. It can be both a functional and cosmetic surgery.

Breast Implants

A breast implant is a prosthesis used to alter the size, form, and feel of a woman’s breasts in post–mastectomy breast reconstruction; for correcting chest wall congenital deformities; for the aesthetic enhancement of the bust.
There are three general types of breast implant devices, defined by their filler material: saline, silicone, and composite. The saline implant has an elastomer silicone shell filled with sterile saline solution, the silicone implant has an elastomer silicone shell filled with viscous silicone gel, and the alternative composition implants featured miscellaneous fillers, such as soy oil and polypropylene string, etc. Talk to us for more details.

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure for correcting and reconstructing the form, restoring the functions, and aesthetically enhancing the nose, by resolving nasal trauma (blunt, penetrating, blast), congenital defect, respiratory impediment, and a failed primary rhinoplasty.

Lockwood basically re-invented the tummy tuck by re-defining the nature of suspension of the deeper tissues of the abdomen and flank. The lower body lift extends the tummy tuck incision completely around the lower torso. This allows re-suspension of the lateral and anterior thighs along with the traditional tummy tuck improvements.

Neck Lift

A neck lift provides a solution to people searching to improve the appearance of the neck and under the jaw line. This is designed to reduce the look of loose, sagging skin. Keep in mind that this procedure will not rejuvenate the facial area. A neck lift can be performed alone, or in conjunction with other procedures including facelift and chin augmentation.

Forehead lift

A forehead lift, also known as a browlift or browplasty, is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to elevate a drooping eyebrow that may obstruct vision and/or to remove the deep “worry” lines that run across the forehead and may portray to others anger, sternness, hostility, fatigue or other unintended emotions.
